Detoxifying the Respiratory System with Essential Oils

For Our Sydney Folks Choking In The Smoke Haze…….Australia is up in smoke right now with bush fires galore in case you haven’t seen on the news.

East Coast folks, I am so sorry you are having to live in this shitty air quality that is now 11 x the hazardous levels for human health.

The equivalent exposure of smoking 37 cigarettes a day friends 😕

I’m so sorry our Prime Minister is nothing but a Puppet who can be bought for the highest price. A Prime Minister with zero empathy or understanding of the impact these fires are having on ALL life in these areas.

You guys need as much support as possible in detoxifying the respiratory system and staying healthy so this one is for you!

1. Air Purifier Units
If you don’t have an Air Purifying Unit, please do what you can to get your hands on one to keep your home environment as free of contaminants as possible. The Inovaair Air, Dyson and AusClimate Air Purifier are some of the better options available. These units will be a huge help particularly if you have young kids, the elderly or Asthmatic in your home.
2. Detoxification Support
Supplements to help your organs of detoxification deal with all the ash and the contaminants it holds will be of such great assistance. Think doTerra’s Zendocrine Detox Complex in conjunction with either the Zendocrine Oil Blend or Softgels to cleanse at a cellular level whilst assisting the filtering processes of your liver, kidneys and colon. Vitamin C and Glutathione are two super important antioxidants that will help safeguard your cells against oxidative damage from excessive exposure to toxins and the resulting inflammation. Glutathione is also critical for supporting your liver during this stressful time so be sure to include Grapefruit essential oil in your aromatic dressing and water throughout the day. Grapefruit essential oil is 95-98% pure D-Limonene and it’s D-Limonene that restores and up-regulates levels of Glutathione in our cells. My choices are Pete Evans Native Wholefood Vitamin C which you can purchase from Gelatin Australia and BioCeuticals Liposomal Glutathione for best bioavailability and absorption.
3. Activated Charcoal
A bloody brilliant and super affordable method of detox support. It basically attracts all impurities floating in our system, captures them up and escorts them out of the body safely. The Bulletproof Activated Coconut Charcoal is excellent but for affordability, try the NOW brand which is available from iHerb and most health food stores. Please be sure to take your charcoal away from all foods and supplements as it binds up the good and bad. None of this charcoal smoothie business please, it’s a total waste of time. Try taking it before bed with plenty of water as it can make you bound up if you are dehydrated. Start with 2 capsules at night and yes it’s safe for kids to use too though only 1 capsule.
4. Salt Lamps and Saline Nasal Sprays
Salt is brilliant for keeping mucosal membranes lubricated and irritation-free. It is excellent for cleansing the respiratory tract and absolutely safe for the whole family. Salt Lamps in all the bedrooms are a great way of supporting the lungs.
Saline or Salt Solution Nasal Sprays are also a great support for all ages. Using boiled cooled water, make up a simple sea or celtic sea salt water solution with the addition of 1/4 teaspoon of Xylitol and one drop of Lavender, Manuka or Tea Tree essential oils. Squirt up the nostrils on the daily to keep the sinus free of infection and congestion whilst keeping the membranes free of inflammation.
5. Diffusers and Essential Oils
Non-negotiable. Get all your diffusers running throughout the home. By diffusers for your friends and family for Christmas! Your priority essential oils to support the respiratory system whilst purifying the air are ALL of your Tree Oils…think Douglas Fir, Siberian Fir, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Arborvitea and Cypress. The Holiday Peace Blend is actually an awesome combination of respiratory supporting tree oils. Litsea should also be in your priority list given it’s one of THE most powerful oils for cleansing our air and airways. Introduced to the Asian market specifically to combat the extreme air pollution, it will serve you well here. Pair Litsea and your tree oils with Frankincense which will do wonders to support inflammation in the body, safeguard your lungs and protect your cells. Clearify is another excellent blend that combines Litsea with Citrus oils, Frankincense and Cardamom which is another powerful airway support to ease congested breathing. Easy Air of course will be a godsend and it’s amazing paired with Frankincense either in the diffuser or applied topically in a balm over the chest.
6. Air Masks
Yes you look like a bit of a dick but who cares when your health is at stake. Get over it and put one on every time you step foot outdoors. Don’t even consider exercising outdoors without one if you can see visible thick smoke haze.

That’s it from me friends. I’m thinking of you and hoping the haze clears real soon for everyone’s sake.
I hope this is helpful info and please do tag your friends and family that need support up there.

As always, if you don’t have essential oils or a diffuser in your life, just reach out and we’ll get you set up with what you need ASAP.

💜 Bec
