Protecting Our Breasts with Essential Oils

Can we improve our breast health with essential oils? As simple as it sounds, all signs point to yes!

There has been so much research on citrus fruits, citrus oils, and limonene (which is a key naturally occurring compound found in citrus oils) in relation to breast cancer, and recent developments suggest a powerful preventive effect on our cells particularly in fatty areas of our bodies such as our breasts.

Limonene is found in Grapefruit, Wild Orange, Tangerine and Lemon essential oils with Grapefruit containing the highest concentration of limonene at 95%.

Studies are showing repeatedly that limonene has immune enhancing, anti-mutagenic and antioxidant properties as well as protects and supports healthy cell growth. Or in other words, citrus oils can give us better breast health.

The studies used the oils in a variety of different ways from topically on the skin diluted with coconut oil via a breast massage or ingesting them in safe controlled doses.

We LOVE using grapefruit or wild orange essential oils in our smoothies as well as our raw snacks to give you a few ideas of how to use it.

Incorporating limonene in your diet is simply a healthy lifestyle choice that promotes normal cell life cycles with added bonuses like dissolving cholesterol gallstones, neutralising reflux and heartburn.

Limonene is drawn to fatty tissue and accumulates there for a period of time resulting in an ongoing protective effect. It apparently just likes to hang around, doing its thing as a white knight, protecting our breasts against abnormal cell growth!

Hence why it is attracted to breast tissue…… as well as our bum, hips, thighs and tummy

This is not an alternative treatment plan, this is about prevention guys. Better breast health and wellbeing for the long term.

If you’ve never heard of aromatic dressing, well it is time. Aromatic dressing is where you lovingly anoint your whole body in essential oils after a shower or bath from the tips of your toes to your head. It’s my favourite way to get a dose of limonene whilst applying my whole body perfume (you will smell like a goddess) and supporting my nervous and endocrine system at the same time.

Take 1-2 tablespoons of Fractionated Coconut Oil or Jojoba and add 2 drops each of the following to a small bowl:

Wild Orange, Frankincense, Lavender

OR

Ylang Ylang, Grapefruit, Sandalwood

For men…..because you’ve got boobs too-  Try Sandalwood and Wild Orange for a more manly combination.

Simply mix with your finger and then start to apply the oils to your feet working your way up your legs and the rest of your body.

Give yourself a full body massage paying special attention to the area underneath your arms running down to your waist where your lymphatic pump lies. A vigorous massage to this area will stimulate your lymphatic system to remove toxins from your body.

You have just done something truly remarkable for your body that will not only see your stress levels reduced but your immune system supported and your breast tissue protected.

How is that for the worlds most easy and best smelling preventative health plan ever!!!

Reach out to me if you would like to introduce essential oils into your wellbeing regime because I would LOVE to share our knowledge with you.

Now go share this with all your sisters and brothers!
