Cellfood Silica - 118ml bottle
Silica is one of the foundational minerals our bodies' need most. While we commonly hear that calcium is the mineral that's most helpful for bone health, it's actually silica that's more critical.
The necessity of silica for collagen formation is the basis of many of these physiological effects. When we are young, Silica levels in our body are high and our bones and joints are flexible, our skin is supple and glowing. As we age, Silica levels decline and without adequate tissue levels of Silica, we manifest many of the symptoms of aging such as joint disease, weakened digestion, and wrinkled skin, to name a few. Silica is referred to as the 'beauty mineral' for good reason.
Silica used to be a primary compound in our soils. We would receive our daily dose simply by getting our feet and hands dirty in silica rich soils and eating food grown in silica rich soils. In the last 50 years, using certain pesticides and fertilizers knocked out particular species of microbes that dissolved silica into the ground. Now our soils, and thus our vegetables, are largely silica deficient. The best way to eat a diet rich in silica is to include a lot of raw organic radish, alfalfa, cucumber, romaine lettuce, watercress, capsicum, tomatoes, wheatgrass and the herb horsetail.
In the 2003 book "Water & Salt" Dr. Barbara Hendel stated: "Silica is the most important trace mineral for human health!"
In 1939, the Nobel Price winner for chemistry, Professor Adolf Butenant, proved that life cannot exist without Silica. According to his research in 1972, silica is an essential nutrient and must be supplied continuously from food sources. Silica plays an important role in many body functions and has a direct relationship to mineral absorption. The average human body holds approximately seven grams of silica, a quantity far exceeding the figures for other important minerals such as iron. Both iron and silica are body essential, meaning they are needed for carrying out ongoing metabolic work that is vital to life. Both elements must be continuously supplied.
Nutritional and Therapeutic Applications for Silica include the following and are backed by plenty of fantastic research -
1. Connective tissue strengthening and support (joint, ligaments and muscles):
A silica deficient diet has been shown to produce poorly formed connective tissue and collagen development. Silica has been shown to contribute to certain enzyme activities that are absolutely necessary for normal collagen formation. Silica is essential for maintaining the health of connective tissues due to its interaction with the formation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which are structural building blocks of these types of tissue.
2. Bone strengthening and support through enhanced calcium absorption:
Within bone, silica is the essential component making up the collagen matrix upon which calcium is deposited. This relationship is so fundamental that it is truly impossible to form bone without both calcium and silica. Silica is responsible for the depositing of minerals into the bones, especially calcium. It speeds up the healing of fractures and also reduces scarring at the site of a fracture. In fact, researchers are exploring the possibility that supplementation of silica, rather than calcium may be what is needed for maintaining strong bones.
3. Strengthening of teeth and gums:
Silica is one of the great remineralising agents for our teeth. Bones are made up of mainly calcium, phosphorous and magnesium but they also contain silica, which is critical to bone re-mineralization. Studies show that taking calcium supplements can actually INCREASE bone loss because without sufficient Silica the body can NOT make use of the extra calcium so it is useless and can even be dangerous. Taking 500mg to 1000mg of silica a day can actually begin to reverse tooth decay and bone loss.
4. Cardiovascular and Respiratory Health support:
Silica in adequate quantities creates supple arteries and veins and is effective in removing plaque from artery walls. Arteriosclerotic artery walls show excessively high levels of calcium and lower than normal levels of in silica. Silica supplementation helps repair and maintain vital lung tissues and protects them from pollution. By maintaining or restoring the elasticity of lung tissues, silica reduces inflammation in bronchitis. It acts as a cough decreasing agent. Silica tones the upper respiratory tract (nose, pharynx, larynx) and reduces swelling because of its positive action on the lymphatic system.
5. Stomach and digestive disorders:
Most disorders of the stomach and digestive tract involve a degradation of the lining in the G.I. tract. Silica is an essential element involved in rebuilding and maintaining these tissues. The presence of sufficient silica in the intestines will reduce inflammation of the intestinal tract. It can cause disinfection in the case of stomach and intestinal catarrh and ulcers. Silica can prevent or clear up diarrhea and its opposite, constipation.
6. Healthy and youthful skin:
Our skin is our first line of defense against naturally occurring bacteria, virus’s, and other pathogens. Silica promotes and maintains healthy skin tissue and the integrity of our first line defence. One well-known GAG (glycosaminoglycans) important for skin health is hyaluronic acid, which has been shown to promote skin cell proliferation and increase the presence of retinoic acid, improving the skin’s hydration. A deficiency in silica results in reduced skin elasticity and wound healing due to its role in collagen and GAG formation. As we know, proper collagen formation is essential for maintaining tight, wrinkle-free skin, silica can be beneficial for slowing down the signs of skin aging. Silica stimulates the rapid re-growth of damaged skin tissue and works with other antioxidants to prevent premature aging and to preserve youthfulness.
7. Hair Growth:
Silica is an essential mineral for the development of healthy, strong hair. Weak, dry and brittle Hair can be a symptom of silica deficiency. The hair follicles require silica to stay healthy and keep producing hair. When follicles are deprived of this vital nutrient, then weak, thinning hair is the result. It loses its shine, it cracks and breaks easily, and eventually, it stops growing altogether.
9. Aluminum elimination enhancement:
Silica has a high affinity for aluminum and has demonstrated excellent elimination of aluminum from the brain and other tissues in the body. Silica has shown to be protective against the accumulation of aluminum in the brain and therefore, possibly a great protective agent against the cognitive decline related disease. Silica pushes aluminum out of our tissues and drinking high silica content water is very effective. This is why Silica features within Dr Dietrich Klinghardt's Heavy Metal Detox Protocols.
10. Healthy Biofilm Development:
The key is to create healthy biofilms which coat and protect both pathogenic and beneficial bacteria is using silica. Silica promotes healthy biofilm growth for our friendly microbes whilst demonstrating selectivity for destroying the biofilm surrounding pathogenic bacteria and yeasts such as candida. This makes silica a very useful agent for promoting microbiome health in our gut, mouth and brain.
CELLFOOD Essential Silica Formula is an easy-to-absorb, plant based, pleasant-tasting and complete liquid silica formulation that combines highly purified mineral silica with CELLFOOD’s wide array of plant-based minerals and elements with dissolved oxygen. The nutrients in Cellfood Silica are in a colloidal/ionic form. Colloidal particles are minute (4-7 nanometers in diameter), take on a negative (ionic) charge, and remain suspended in liquid. Because most bodily fluids are colloidal and negatively charged, the body perceives Cellfood as normal healthy body fluid and allows the nutrients to pass immediately through the sensitive membranes of the mouth, throat, and esophagus, directly into the bloodstream.
This proprietary formula contains 78 trace minerals, 34 enzymes, 17 amino acids and electrolytes derived from fossilized plants, sea water and mineral water which makes it an extraordinary nutritional supplement.
Cellfood also has a unique ability to generate nascent oxygen and electrolytes at the cellular level. Cellfood dissociates water molecules in cells into hydrogen and oxygen by shifting and weakening the bonding electrons of water towards oxygen and away from hydrogen. The oxygen ions that are produced are negatively charged, and these then bond with the positively charged free radicals in the body creating pure oxygen (as well as reducing harmful free radicals). Adequate oxygen is vital for the cells to eliminate toxins, and to improve the biological terrain, as well as raising energy levels in the body. This mix of colloidal nutrients, increased oxygen and electrolytes radically improves the biological terrain, the blood and the lymph, and detoxification so beneficial to homeostatis.
One can see Cellfood working within an hour. Using live blood video microscopy, improved oxy-hemoglobin saturation levels and improved enthrocyte integrity can generally be seen within 60 minutes of taking Cellfood Silica. Over time, there is an improvement in the patient’s sense of well being and energy levels.
